* * * HSFM 2009 AED Challenge* * *October 23, 2009 Starting in November, Heart Beat Inc. will once again be involved in the AED Challenge, organized by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Last year, over 60 AEDs were placed in various facilities across Manitoba. For this year's challenge, consumers will be again offered a package including an AED, all accessories, as well as AED and CPR training; all for one low price. We invite all past, current, and future customers to come down to our training centre on Dublin Avenue for coffee and cake. Browse through some of our product catalogues, and check out the newest in training equipment, including the amazing SMART STAT Patient Care Simulator * * * ACLS Programs Update * * *August 24, 2009 Over the past few years, we have had an increasing number of requests from our clients to offer the HSFC Advanced Cardiac Life Support programs. Drawing on our years of experience with the BLS programs, and with the help of some highly qualified and experienced instructors, Heart Beat Inc. is pleased to announce our ACLS programs. Organizations whos staff require this training will be able to book group sessions, which will include the two day ACLS Provider course, as well as an optional one day or two evening ECG and Pharmacology review session, using materials developed by the American Heart Association. We arel also offering public courses for individuals who wish to register. Please see the Course Registration section of our website for available dates. Individual registrations can be done online. Student manuals will be available as well. We look forward to the challenge of offering these new programs, and expect to offer the same high quality that our clients have come to expect from us.
* * *NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT* * *August 10, 2009 Heart Beat Inc. is pleased to announce the forthcoming arrival of a new and exiting addition to our product line. In September of 2009, we will be bringing in the new SMART STAT Patient Simulator by Simulaids. This manikin is a "Must Have" tool for EMS and Hospital training and simulation centres. The SMART STAT is completely wireless, and is operated by the instructor through a Palm Device. Power is supplied by an on-board battery and compressor, and the manikin will run for over 3 hours before needing to recharge! We will be using this amazing Patient Simulator in our upcoming ACLS programs, and we welcome everyone to come and see the new SMART STAT.
